Charges of Domestic Mischief
On the 23 May 2016, at approximately 12:53 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Kyle Fabian and Sergeant Bruce Sawbridge received a report of a domestic disturbance, on Mishomis Inamo, Pikwakanagan Ontario First Nation. As a result of police investigation, an 18 yr. old male from the Pikwakangagan Ontario First Nation has been charged with three counts of Domestic Mischief to Property, section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The male was released on a promise to appear with conditions, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
Breach of Probation
On the 23 May 2016 at approximately 2:56 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Ryan Lapierre and Constable Glenn Yaraskavitch received a report of a domestic, Breach of Probation, on Round Lake Road in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 38 yr. old male from Madawaska Valley Twp. has been charged with two counts of Breach of Probation section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was issued a summons to appear in court, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
Threats Charge
On the 26 May 2016 at approximately 4:54 pm., Whitney OPP Constable Keith Jones received a report of a neighbour dispute, on Yantha Lane, in South Algonquin Twp. As a result of police investigation, 44 yr. old Donald KLENTZ from South Algonquin Twp. has been charged with Uttering Threats section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a promise to appear with conditions, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.
Drive While Disqualified
On the 23 May 2016 at approximately 10:09 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jason Golds conducted a traffic stop on Queen Street in Bonnechere Valley Twp. The driver of an Oldsmobile, 54 yr. old Leonard DOWNEY, of Bonnechere Valley Twp. has been charged with Driving While Disqualified, section 259(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada and Driving While Under Suspension, section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was issued an appearance notice to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.
Suspended Drivers
On the 26 May 2016 at approximately 8:22 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jason Golds conducted a traffic stop on Highway # 60 in Killaloe Hagarty and Richards Twp. The driver of the motor vehicle, a 32 yr. old male from Pikwakanagan Ontario First Nation has been charged with Suspended Driving, section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was issued a summons to appear in Court, Killaloe
On the 26 May 2016 at approximately 10:43 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Ryan Lapierre conducted a traffic stop on Yantha Crescent in Madawaska Valley Twp. The 65 yr. old male driver of the motor vehicle from Madawaska Valley Twp. has been charged with Suspended Driving section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was issued a summons to appear in Court, Killaloe.
On the 28 May 2016 at approximately 9:25 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Kyle Fabian conducted a traffic stop on #60 Highway in Madawaska Valley Twp. The male driver from Quebec was charged with Use Plates Unauthorized, section 12(1) (d), Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence, section 32(1) and Speeding section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was issued a summons to appear in court, Killaloe. The vehicle was towed.
Mischief
On the 24 May 2016 at approximately 10:59 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Glenn Yaraskavitch received a call of mischief to property at the Whitney Pharmacy, South Algonquin Twp. Several of the pharmacy windows were damaged. Photos were taken of the scene. This incident remains under investigation. On the 28 May 2016 at approximately 11:19 a.m., Killaloe OPP received a call of mischief to property on John Street in Bonnechere Valley Twp. Two young persons were observed spray painting the Eganville Leader business. The youths were apprehended and escorted to their residences by police. After speaking with police, the youths returned to the building and cleaned the spray paint damages. No charges were laid.
