(TOWNSHIP OF ESSA) – On December 10, 2015, at approximately 7:30 am, members of the Nottawasga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a serious motor vehicle collision on the 8th line of Essa at 25 Sideroad.
At the time, investigators revealed that a white coloured Ford Van had been travelling southbound on the 8th Line and had collided with a grey Honda Odyssey, as it was crossing the 8th Line on 25 Sideroad. The driver of the Honda Odyssey was transported to a Toronto area hospital for treatment, as well as a passenger in the Honda was transported to a Barrie hospital for treatment. The driver of the white Ford van was not injured.
As a result of the investigation, the driver of the Ford Van, 30 year old Jason FAUVELLE, of New Tecumseth, ON. has been charged with Careless Driving and Stunt Driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
