(CALEDON, ON) – On Friday, July 15, 2016, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate an assault which occurred at a residence in Caledon.
As a result of an investigation, a 72 year-old Caledon male has been arrested and charged with 3 counts of Assault, 2 counts of Uttering Threats, and 2 counts of Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on August 18, 2016.
Police are not releasing the name of the accused as it may identify the victim in this occurrence.
