(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is seeking the assistance of the public after police investigated an incident at a St George Street, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, July 22, 2016 at approximately 9:13 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned parent after their 14-year-old son informed them about an incident that had just occurred.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that the 14-year-old male was riding his bicycle when a van with an older male and female approached and stopped him. During the conversation, they had asked him if he knew where a certain individual lived. When he informed the driver that he did not know anyone by that name, he was then told by the driver to get in the vehicle.
The 14-year-old left the area riding his bicycle only to be followed for a short period of time by the vehicle which then left the area in an unknown direction.
The vehicle is described as an older model Chevrolet van, brown and black in colour.
The driver was described as a male, late sixties (60’s), with shaggy hair.
The passenger was described as a female, late sixties (60’s) with longhair.
Investigators from the Norfolk County OPP Detachment would like to speak to these individuals. If anyone has any information or can identify them or the vehicle, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
