(TORONTO, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD) Toronto Detachment is investigating a collision involving two vehicles that occurred on Highway 400, near Highway 401, in the City of Toronto.
At approximately 2:50 p.m., on Friday, July 29, 2016, a collision involving an OPP vehicle and civilian vehicle occurred on Highway 400 northbound near Highway 401. As a result of the collision the two occupants in the civilian vehicle and the lone officer in the OPP vehicle were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The OPP has notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As a result the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342.
