(BANCROFT, ON) – On the evening of the 23rd of July 2016, members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a report of gunshots originating from a vessel on Baptiste Lake in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands.
Officers attended and as a result of their investigation, determined that a male was shooting a firearm from a canoe.
Michael DEAN, 29 years of age from Scarborough, Ontario is charged with careless use of a firearm contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on 13 September 2016.
