(Quinte West, ON) – On Saturday August 6th, 2016, at approximately 5:35am officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Hastings-Quinte paramedics as well as Quinte West Fire Department responded to the report of a male being struck by a car on County Road 64.
When emergency services arrived on scene they located a 48 year old male that had been struck by a motor vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators responded to County Road 64 to assist with the investigation.
County Road 64 remained closed for several hours until OPP TTCI completed their investigation.
BREAK AND ENTER
(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Sunday August 7th, 2016 at approximately 6:50am officer’s from the Quinte West Detachment of the OPP responded to 12 Carrying Place Road for the report of a Break and Enter.
After police investigated the incident it was determined that sometime after 1:30pm on August 6th, and sometime prior to 6:30pm on August 7th, unknown suspects broke into the business. When inside the unknown suspect(s) took a quantity of money as well as food times.
There are no suspects in the matter at this time.
