Aaron GAREAU Arrested After Series Of Vehicle Break Ins

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On Sep 16, 2016 just after 2:00am., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for a suspicious male on Metcalf Street, Tottenham.

The Nottawasaga OPP patrolled the area and located a suspicious male walking on Hammell Boulevard wearing a grey hoodie and covering his face with a white cloth. The male fled on foot and was located moments later and subsequently arrested.

Charged is 22 year old Aaron GAREAU of New Tecumseth for:

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Disguise with Intent

Theft Under $5000 from Motor Vehicle

GAREAU is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on October 13th 2016 in Bradford.

The OPP are asking anyone to come forward if you notice anything is missing from your vehicle. The OPP urge residents to NOT leave valuables in their vehicles overnight and to take them inside where they are secure. The OPP also urges citizens to lock their vehicles.
