(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – In July of 2015 the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) executed a search warrant at a Listowel residence. The investigation was conducted with the assistance of the OPP Technological Crime Unit and resulted in the arrest of a Municipality of North Perth resident.
54-year-old John Paul Stone was arrested on September 13, 2016, and has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication x2
Agreement or arrangement – Sexual offence against a child x7
Procure to have illicit sexual intercourse x5
Makes, prints, publishes or possesses for the purpose of publication any child pornography
Imports, distributes, sells or possesses for the purpose of distribution or sale any child pornography
He appeared in Stratford Bail Court on September 13, 2016, where he was released on a Recognizance. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on Wednesday, September 23, 2016, where he will answer to the charges.
