Aqsa KHAN – Drunk Driving

(CHATHAM, ON) On October 17, 2016, around 12:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 401 near Orford Road.

Members located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and while speaking with the driver, the officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was transported to detachment for further tests.

Upon further investigation, the female driver, Aqsa KHAN, 41-years-old of Markham, Ontario, was charged with drive while ability impaired, and drive motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 7, 2016 to answer to the charges.

Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is actively monitoring the “Big 4” driving behaviours; impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving, and seatbelt usage.
