On Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:05 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a boy hit by a vehicle on Activa Avenue in Kitchener. The ten-year-old boy was on roller blades and was coming out of his driveway when he was hit by a westbound minivan, driven by a 34-year-old Kitchener woman. The boy was transported to hospital by ambulance and then transferred to a London hospital by air ambulance in serious condition. Speed was not considered a factor and charges are not pending.
