(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On December 1, 2016 at approximately 10:50 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Wellington Road 39 near Wellington Road 30, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A 2014 Ford entered the R.I.D.E. program and Officers spoke with a male driver who showed signs that he had consumed alcohol. He performed a roadside screening test and failed. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
76-year-old Wayne ROBINSON of Elora has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 13, 2017. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
