(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – Members of the County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report on November 23, 2016 that a Registered Practicing Nurse (RPN) was employed and had been working as a nurse when in fact she was not registered with the Ontario College of Nurses.
OPP investigators discovered that 28-year-old Laura ERSKINE of the County of Brant had been employed with Park Lane Terrace Nursing Home located at 295 Grand River Street North in Paris as a Registered Practicing Nurse (RPN). Although she had in fact graduated from a nursing program at community college in 2014, she had not registered with the Ontario College of Nurses.
She has been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:
Fraud Section 380(1) (b)
Make a Forged document Section 367
She will appear in The Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges.
