One of Wingham’s most famous and historic buildings was ordered destroyed to make way for a parking lot so councillors can have reserved parking spaces. The Wingham Armories/Former Wingham Police station was one of the most solid and secure buildings in Wingham.
Council refused significant offers for the building which would have put it into private hands and generated tax revenue annually. Council instead decided, without public input or scrutiny, to make themselves dedicated parking spaces instead, and to pay a fortune to demolish the building.
This building would have easily sold for $300,000+ on the open market, and generated $7,000/year in property taxes. Instead we lose part of our heritage and about $500,000 of real estate so bernie bailey can have a parking spot with his name on it.

Both have bad track records but continue to haunt the poor peoples of their communities.

bernie east has a blind deputy mayor a 2 seat cronyism system for his friends a 74 yr old fire chief and no water meters wow.
And no 1 single seat democracy in site. Is it just huron county or these individual’s. Something isn’t right though. But We keep seeing double Bernie’s.
