Zenon CRIBBIE – Drive While Disqualified

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On January 23, 2015 a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a tip that a disqualified driver was driving in the downtown area in Parry Sound. The officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Queen Street. Further investigation revealed that the driver was disqualified from driving and was in possession of marihuana.

The driver, Zenon CRIBBIE, 27 years of age from Parry Sound, was arrested and charged with the following:

1. Two counts of Drive while disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code (CC).

2. Two counts of Driving while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

3. Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver contrary to the HTA.

4. Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).

The accused was remanded in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound to answer to his charges.
