(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment has charged a 19-year-old male after investigating an incident at a Pine Street, Delhi, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at approximately 5:59 p.m., police were called by a concerned resident reporting a theft.
Through the course of investigation it was determined that between Friday, January 22, 2016 and Wednesday, January 27, 2016, cheques were removed from the residence and cashed resulting in funds being taken from a financial account.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 19-year-old Zachary Robert SMITH of Norfolk County, Ontario with theft and fraud under $5,000 X2.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
