Zachary CHAFEE – Drunk Driving

(GUELPH, ON) – On December 24, 2016 at approximately 12:05 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Festive R.I.D.E. Unit was conducting spot checks on Highway 6 and College Avenue, Guelph. A 2012 Chevrolet entered the R.I.D.E. program and officers believed that the male driver had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

25-year-old Zachary CHAFEE of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 24, 2017. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
