(LAKE OF BAYS TWP, ON) On October 11, 2014 Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was advised of a break in that was taking place on Muskoka Road #117 near Baysville. The caller report that he could see youth inside non occupied cottages, and was able to apprehend one as they were running away.
Officers from the Huntsville detachment located two more of the youth at a nearby path along the Muskoka River. As a result of the investigation two youth from Huntsville and two from Lake of Bays Twp. were arrested and have since been charged with Break and Enter under the Criminal Code of Canada. Three of them were also charged with possession of Schedule II substance known as marihuana under the Controlled Drug and Substances act.
The four who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on November 4, 2014 to answer to their charges.
