Youth Bitten By Dog At School

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – Members of the County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a report of a youth being bit by a dog on Grandville Circle in Paris within the County of Brant at approximately 6:00 p.m. on 20 February 2016.

OPP members attended the scene and were advised that the youth suffered a small puncture wound to his leg as a result of a dog bite. The dog was on the school grounds with its owner and 2 children but left prior to police arrival.

The dog was described as possibly a Great Pyrenees or similar breed. The owner was a male with dark hair, mid to late-30’s and he had two girls approximately six and ten in his care.

The OPP as well as County of Brant by-law and The County of Brant Health Unit continue to investigate and are asking for the owner of the dog to please contact police so that the status of the dog’s vaccinations can be verified.
