YOUNG PERSON FACING CRIMINAL CHARGES

(EXETER, ON) – A traffic stop on October 24, 2014 has led to criminal charges against a 17 year old female from Exeter. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a restaurant on Main Street after an employee spotted a vehicle in the drive-thru with open alcohol. At approximately 11:15 p.m. officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle on Main Street in Exeter. Upon speaking with the two occupants it was learned a female passenger was failing to comply with her court imposed curfew condition. The female was placed under arrest and was subsequently searched. The search Incident to arrest revealed the female was in possession of marihuana.

As a result, a 17 year old female from Exeter has been charged with Failing to Comply with an Undertaking & Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Marihuana. She will have to attend Youth Justice Court – Goderich on November 13, 2014.
