Yelena PASHKOV – Drunk Driving, Run Stop Sign

(CALEDON, ON) On Sunday, September 8, 2013 shortly after midnight, an officer was on general patrol in the Village of Bolton when he observed the driver of a gray Pontiac Montana van fail to stop at a stop sign on Allan Drive. The officer activated the vehicle’s emergency equipment to stop the motor vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected an odour of alcohol coming from within the vehicle and observed that the driver was demonstrating signs of impairment. As a result of the officer’s observations, the officer requested the driver provide a sample of her breath on the roadside breathalyzer instrument. The driver refused to provide a sample upon request.

As a result of the traffic stop, Yelena PASHKOV, 44, of Caledon was arrested and charged with Fail to Provide Breath Sample.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and her motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused will make her first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 26, 2013.
