(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) -On November 27, 2014 at approximately 12:39 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Wellington Street, Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a 2005 Infiniti at a high rate of speed. It was locked on radar travelling at 175km/h in a 70 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Yannick GREEN age 21 of Brampton has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on January 7, 2015 to answer to the charge.
