(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 21, 2016 at approximately 2:46 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Brock Road near Gilmour Road in Puslinch Township. The officer observed a 2016 Mini Cooper travelling northbound at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 104 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
20-year-old Xiaoyu ZHANG of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 21, 2016 to answer to the charge.
