Location: PINNACLE DR and PINE HILL PL, KITCHENER ON Canada

On May 8, 2016 at approximately 10:00 a.m., a vehicle was travelling west along Pinnacle Drive, in the city of Kitchener. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a wooden hydro pole. The driver, a 17 year old Kitchener resident, was transported by ambulance to The Grand River Hospital, where she was treated and released with minor facial injuries. The driver claimed that she lost control of her vehicle due to a mechanical defect. The vehicle was seized by investigators for the purpose of a safety inspection. No charges at this point. The investigation is continuing.

After a three week investigation into multiple break and enters and thefts in the Cambridge area, members of the South Break and Enter Project Team have arrested a 26 year old St. George man. On May 5th, 2016, a Criminal Code Search Warrant was executed at a residence in St. George and stolen property was recovered which included parts of stolen vehicles, two motorcycles, a snowmobile, an ATV and numerous stolen license plates. He is facing multiple charges including break and enter x4, theft under x10, possession of stolen goods x14, breach of probation x15, trafficking in stolen property, motor vehicle theft x2, uttering threats and flight from police. Location: KATHERINE ST N and WEISENBERG RD, WOOLWICH ON Canada

On Saturday May 7th, 2016 at 9:05 p.m. a serious motor vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Katherine Street North at Weisenberg Road in Woolwich Township. A mini van collided with the rear of a south bound transport truck, causing severe damage to the front of the mini van. The driver of the mini van, a 63 year old Elmira man was transported by Ambulance to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries. The force of the impact caused the large steel rear impact guard to become detached from the real of the trailer of the transport truck. The transport truck failed to remain at the scene of the collision. Waterloo Regional Police Service Traffic Services Branch is investigating and are looking to speak with the witnesses who assisted at the scene prior to police arrival. Location: SPEEDSVILLE RD, CAMBRIDGE, ON Canada

On May 8, 2016 at 4:10 a.m., a motor vehicle was seen by a passerby engulfed in flames at a rural property on Speedsville Road, in the city of Cambridge. It is believed the vehicle was deliberately set on fire. No injuries were sustained, and the vehicle was clearly abandoned at this location.
