(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment and the Ministry of Labour are investigating the injury of a worker at a County Road #20, Haldimand County, ON address.
Today, Tuesday July 8th, 2014 at approximately 9:15 am the OPP along with Haldimand County Paramedics and Haldimand County Fire Department were called to the Canadian Solar site located on County Road #20 after a worker sustained serious injury.
The worker who is identified as a 31 year old male from Hamilton, ON was on the jobsite when he became involved with a tracked skid steer type machine. He received emergency medical aid from company employees prior to the arrival of emergency services. The male was then transported to a Dunnville hospital and then flown to a Hamilton hospital for treatment.
The area of the incident has been secured and in under investigation by the Ministry of Labour.
The investigation continues.
