(SOUTHWEST OXFORD TWP, ON) – On November 19, 2015 at 11:57 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD) attempted a vehicle stop on Highway 401 near Foldens Line in Southwest Oxford Township. The vehicle was pulling over when it became involved in a three vehicle collision.
All occupants were transported to an area hospital where a female passenger is being treated for life threatening injuries.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit are attending to assist with this incident.
The OPP has notified the province’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As a result the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to SIU communications at (416) 622 2342.
