(Napanee, ON)- Officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently at the scene of a fatality involving a freight train and a pedestrian.
The incident occurred this morning at approximately 10:52 a.m. when a middle-aged woman was struck while on the tracks near the Palace Road overpass just west of County Road 2.
The unidentified woman was located deceased at the scene. No foul play is suspected.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in determining the woman’s identity.
