(Selwyn Township, ON) – On Wednesday October 30, at approximately 2:21 pm officers from the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a farming accident that occurred on North School Road.
Emergency Medical Services and members of the OPP attended the address to find that a woman had been injured after falling from a wagon that was being towed by a farm tractor.
The injured woman has been identified as 58 year old Betty Ann GODFREY of Selwyn Township. She received emergency care at the scene and was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment of serious injuries.
OPP Traffic Reconstruction Unit is assisting in the investigation of the incident. The Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Labour have been contacted regarding the incident.
The scene is currently being held by the OPP as part of an ongoing investigation.
