The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman in connection with a shoplifting incident in Wallaceburg.
Yesterday morning, the woman was observed in No Frills grocery store on Warwick Drive placing a club pack of steaks and other items in her cart. The woman paid for all items except the steaks, which she hid in a bag. She left the store prior to police arrival. The value of the steaks was $14.00.
Around 3:00 a.m. this morning, police located the woman on Reaume Avenue and she was arrested.
The 32-year-old woman of no fixed address has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
