The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman following a shoplifting incident in Chatham yesterday.
Around 6:30 p.m. police responded to the Real Canadian Superstore on St. Clair Street in regards to a theft complaint. An employee observed the woman take DVD’s and video games off the shelf and place them in her purse. The woman exited the store making no attempts to pay for the merchandise valued at $490.
Luann Yorke, 46 years, of Berry Street in Chatham has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released with conditions pending a future court date.
