The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman following a theft complaint in Chatham last night.
Just before 7:00 p.m. officers responded to the YMCA on Courthouse Lane in regards to a theft. A woman was observed going through the victim’s purse in the female change room. The woman fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by a retired Chatham-Kent police officer.
Terri-Lynn Adams, 42 years, of Mary Street in Chatham was charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released with conditions pending a future court date.
