Yesterday afternoon around 3:20 p.m. an officer was stopped behind a school bus travelling eastbound on Grand Avenue East in Chatham. The school bus had its lights on and stop arm out as the driver was in the process of letting children off. All of a sudden, the officer observed a woman travelling westbound fail to stop for the school bus.
A 59-year-old Blenheim has been charged with failing to stop for a school bus. The penalty for failing to stop for a school bus is a $490 fine and six demerit points.
