Yesterday around 1:50 p.m. an officer was travelling southbound on Queen Street in Chatham when he observed a white Dodge Caravan in front of him. The officer conducted a query of the licence plates and learned that there was no insurance status on the vehicle. The officer initiated a traffic stop to further investigate and the driver was unable to provide proof of insurance.
A 47-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with operating a motor vehicle with no insurance.
