Yesterday morning, officers responded to a residence in Bothwell in regards to a domestic related incident. At this time, a 23-year-old man reported that his ex-wife entered his residence uninvited, stole his cell phone and began sending inappropriate text messages to people in his contact list. The woman also sent an e-mail to the man’s employer in an attempt to jeopardize his employment. Through investigation, the man also disclosed an incident where the woman allegedly assaulted him.
Around 1:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, officers located the woman and she was arrested. The 24-year-old Bothwell woman has been charged with assault, break and enter and criminal harassment x2. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
