(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ON)- On April 1, 2014 at 10:25am, a 71 year old female from the Town of New Tecumseth came out of a business on Parsons Road to discover that someone had struck her 3-day old vehicle and fled the scene.
A witness came forward to tell the victim what happened to her vehicle and provided crucial details that were brought forward to the Police for their investigation.
Police located the male driver and found damage to his vehicle as well. Charged is 49 year old Town of New Tecumseth resident, he is charged with Fail to Remain and Fail to Report an Accident under the Highway Traffic Act.
Nottawasaga OPP would like to thank the good citizen that assisted Police in this investigation and remind members of the public that if you have a collision you must report the collision to Police in the area that it happened and you must remain at the scene, these are offences under the Highway Traffic Act that are there for your protection.
