Wingham – Under Old Management?

At the Council meeting last night, council voted unanimously to offer Archie MacGowan the Council seat that will be open when Alma Conn leaves. Someone asked if Mr. MacGowan had been contacted, and Neil Vincent indicated that Archie has expressed interest in the position.

MacGowan has 16 years experience in local politics and has helped make Wingham what it is today. The members of the public gallery that were interviewed last night, were not happy with the prospect of MacGowan’s possible return.

It is very likely that MacGowan will accept the position, which he lost during the last election. Town Hall has not asked the public if anyone is interested in the position, so it is very likely council will appoint who they want.

Thumbs Up if you want Archie MacGowan back.

Thumbs Down if you don’t want Archie back, and think the people should decide who their Representative is.
