On Saturday, 18 May, police were notified by email of a dangerous condition at the Water Street Dam. The metal grates had been opened creating a hazard for anyone walking along the dam. Police attended and it appeared that someone had undone all of the latches on the grates.
The Township Works Department was immediately contacted and the situation rectified.
