North Huron has admitted to the fact there is still some lead pipe in the Wingham water system. Regulators in Flint were charged after lead was found in their water supply. A quick search reveals that numerous Cities across North America are now scrambling to removal every last inch of lead pipe from their water systems to protect the Public.
The lead pipe needs to be removed from our water system, there should be no debate as it is a major health risk. The only thing that should be up for debate is when the pipe is going to be removed.
To find out if your street has any lead pipe and if it is going to be removed, call North Huron Councillor Trevor Seip at 519-357-7759 (or your favorite council member) and ask for complete disclosure of all locations with lead pipe.
