(LEAMINGTON ON) – Ontario Provincial Police in Leamington arrested a 63 year old Windsor man after being involved in a motor vehicle collision that involved 5 parked vehicles and striking a pole that resulted in a power outage in the area.
At 8:15 pm on August 31st, a 2007 Dodge Ram pick up allegedly being driven by Martin KLASSEN was travelling west on Point Pelee Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and struck five parked vehicles and the power pole. There were no injuries and there is no estimate of the damages at this time.
KLASSEN was arrested at the scene and is facing the following charges and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Leamington on September 16th –
– Drive a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired
– Drive a Motor Vehicle With Blood Alcohol in Excess of 80 Milligrams
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Fail to Remain at the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Collision
