William Peter WOOLRIDGE – 3X Breach

(CALEDON, ON) – On January 31, 2014 at approximately 9:05 am, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting general patrol in the area of King Street West and Highway 10. The officer conducted a vehicle stop on a gray Chevrolet Astro van operated by a male driver who was accompanied by a male passenger.

Investigation revealed that the passenger was bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions. Three of the imposed conditions were to reside at a specific location in Newfoundland, to notify the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (R.C.M.P.) in writing 24 hours in advance of a residence change and to report to the R.C.M.P. by telephone every Wednesday. As a result of the investigation, the officer learned that the passenger had taken residency in the Town of Caledon and had failed to notify the R.C.M.P. of his change of address and to report in as required.

As a result of the traffic stop, William Peter WOOLRIDGE, 40, of Caledon was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Breach of Undertaking.

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to make a first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on this date.
