(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a single vehicle collision between a car and a building on Powerline Road in the County of Brant on 22 June 2016 at approximately 1:25 a.m.
The 2003 Pontiac Sunfire was located at 251 Powerline Road in front of BRANT WOOD FARMS FRUIT MARKET by police and the 48-year-old driver William MCHAFFIE of Brantford was arrested and charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Driving with More than 80 mgs, of Alcohol in Blood contrary to Section 253(1)(b)
Driving While Ability Impaired, contrary to Section 253(1)(a)
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
