(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) A recent traffic stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for the driver of the vehicle.
On September 25, 2013 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP stopped the driver of a vehicle for a highway traffic act offence on Portage Road in the village of Kirkfield, within the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Further investigation conducted on September 26, 2013 revealed that the driver had impersonated another person. The officer was able to positively identify the driver as William Jeffrey MUIRHEAD, 50 years of age, of Kirkfield.
The accused is charged with the following offences:
Personation, contrary to the Criminal Code
Obstruct peace officer, contrary to the Criminal Code
Breach of Probation Order, contrary to the Criminal Code
Speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Driving while under suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
