(CAMBRIDGE, ON) – On April 21, 2015 at approximately 8:05 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers checked a parked 2012 Jeep at the Car Pool Lot on Lake Road, Cambridge. Police spoke with a male in the vehicle and officers believed he was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for testing.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
William GEARIN age 39 of Puslinch Township has been charged with Having Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 19, 2015 to answer to the charges.
