(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On January 10th, 2016, at approximately 10:25pm officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information about a possible impaired driver.
The officers located and stopped the motor vehicle on Front Street in Trenton. Following an investigation it was determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
William FINNER, 45, of Quinte West has been charged with:
Care and Control Over 80mgs, Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act
Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero Section 44.1(3) of the Highway Traffic Act
The male was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on January 28th, 2016.
