(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On August 11, 2015 at approximately 4:35 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a possible impaired driver of a motor vehicle, which remained stationary through a traffic light sequence on Commissioners Road East, near Wellington Road, in the City of London, Ontario.
Officers determined that the male driver of the white Dodge pick-up truck had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County for breath testing, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
As a result of the police investigation, 60-year-old William AUSTIN, from Thames Centre, Ontario, has been charged with care or control while impaired (alcohol), and care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on September 8, 2015.
