(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigations Unit have laid charges against a retired elementary school teacher. The charges date back to the early 1980’s when the accused was teaching at the former J.A.D McCurdy Public School located in Centralia, ON. A former female student is the victim in this case.
The accused taught elementary school at J.A.D McCurdy Public School until 1987 and was later employed as a teacher in the City of London at Byron Somerset Public School.
Police have charged 61 year old William Andrew FRASER from Kincardine with three counts of Indecent Assault contrary to Section 149 (1) of the 1980 Criminal Code.
The accused was arrested on July 4, 2014 and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on August 11, 2014.
