(LEAMINGTON, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Leamington was called to attend the 2200 block of Deer Run Road on October 9, 2014 at approximately 7:20 p.m. regarding a single vehicle rollover crash that had occurred.
Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses who indicated that the male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle had left the scene on foot into a nearby field. The vehicle, a Dodge pickup truck, was located lying on its roof in the water-filled ditch with significant damage.
The male was located a short time later in Wheatley at a residence. He was not injured in the crash.
Dylan DAMA, age 20 of Wheatley was charged with the following offences:
Fail to Remain
Owner Operate Motor Vehicle on Highway, No Insurance
Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle
Careless Driving
Fail to Apply for Permit on Becoming Owner
Drive Motor Vehicle, Open Container of Liquor
He will appear in a Leamington court on November 20, 2014.
