(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating two linked retail robberies and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible.
On March 15, 2015, at approximately 5:30 am, a lone male entered a gas station situated along the 700 block of March Rd and made a verbal demand for cash. The suspect produced a knife and made a demand for cash and cigarettes. The suspect fled the scene with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.
On March 20, 2015, at approximately 4:35 am, a lone male entered a gas station situated along the 3700 block of Fallowfield Rd and made a demand for cash and cigarettes. The suspect indicated he had a weapon and at one point during the robbery, dropped a knife on the floor from his pocket. The suspect fled with a quantity of cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes.
There were no injuries in either robbery.
The suspect sought is described as a Caucasian male, 40-50 years of age, approximately 5’8” (173cm), slim build, with graying hair and moustache.(images attached)
