Weekend Update – Orillia OPP

(ORILLIA, ON.) – Over the holiday weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 252 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township, and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. until Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m.

There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarms, 911 hang-ups, domestic/family disputes, Liquor Licence Act complaints, mischief complaints, motor vehicle collisions, and impaired drivers.

On March 25, 2016 at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Orillia OPP was dispatched to a possible impaired driver in the ditch at Maple Drive and Bay Street in the city of Orillia. Officers attended the location and arrested a male.

Scott LANGILL, 41 years old of Peterborough, has been charged with Care and Control while Impaired, and Care and Control over 80 milligrams Blood/Alcohol. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on April 12, 2016.

On March 27, 2016 at approximately 5:15 a.m., the Orillia OPP was dispatched to a call for assistance at Tudhope Park in the city of Orillia. Officers attended the location and arrested a female.

Nataly SANCHEZ-MENJIVAR, 22 years old of Belleville, has been charged with Care and Control while Impaired and Care and Control over 80 milligrams Blood/Alcohol. She was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on April 12, 2016.
