(ORILLIA, ON) – Over the weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 120 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township, and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Friday night at 4:00 p.m. until Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.
There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarms, 911 hang-ups, domestic/family disputes, Liquor Licence Act complaints, mischief complaints, motor vehicle collisions, thefts, assaults and impaired drivers.
On January 28, 2017 at approximately 08:00 p.m. OPP members were notified of a possible impaired driver on Highway 12 in Ramara Township. Orillia OPP members located the vehicle and as result driver, Dimitry DEMENSCHONOK, 57 years old of Brock Township was charged with the following offences:
Driving While Ability Impaired Contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
Driving With More Than 80mg of Alcohol in Blood Contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The ACCUESD was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia Criminal Court on February 14, 2017
On January 29, 2017 at approximately 03:00 a.m. Orillia OPP members were notified of a possible impaired driver in Severn Township. As a result of the investigation 26 year old Amanda MEI of Orillia was charged with the following offences:
Driving While Ability Impaired Contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
Driving With More Than 80mg of Alcohol in Blood Contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The ACCUSED was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia Court on February 21, 2017.
On January 29, 2017 at approximately 03:00 a.m. Orillia OPP members were notified of a possible impaired driver in Orillia. As a result of the investigation 37 year old Paul OHALLORAN, of Orillia, was charged with the following offences:
Impaired Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle Contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
Refusing to Provide a Sample Contrary to Section 254(5) of the Criminal Code.
The ACCUSED was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia Criminal Court on February 21, 2017
